AiNote is built with a local-first architecture. Your meeting recordings, transcripts, and notes never leave your iPhone or iPad.

100% Local Storage

All your data stays on your iPhone or iPad. We don't have cloud servers storing your meetings.

Minimal Network Use

Only transcription and AI features require internet. Everything else works offline.

End-to-End Encryption

All network transmissions are encrypted with TLS 1.3. Your audio streams are never stored.

1 Local-First Architecture

AiNote follows a local-first design philosophy. This means:

  • All recordings are stored exclusively on your iPhone or iPad
  • All transcripts remain on your device
  • All AI-generated summaries are saved locally
  • All speaker identifications stay on your device
  • Your preferences and settings are stored locally

We don't operate cloud storage servers for user data. Your meetings are yours alone.

2 When Network Is Required

AiNote only connects to the internet for two specific features:

Real-time Transcription

Audio is streamed to our transcription service for speech-to-text conversion. The audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded — never stored.

AI Features (LLM)

When you use AI summaries, Ask AI, or smart features, your transcript is sent to our AI service. Results are returned and stored locally on your device.

💡 Tip: You can use AiNote completely offline for playback, reading transcripts, and exporting. Network is only needed when creating new transcriptions or using AI features.
